Classfication of algebraic varieties is one of the central topic in algebraic geometry. However, starting from dimension 2, algebraic geometers have very few successes. We discuss the problem of classifying surfaces of general type with minimal holomorphic Euler characteristic. This problem seems mild but is out of reach at this moment. We discuss some recent progress when the surface is also irregular: including constructions of new families and complete classifications in some special cases.
个人简介:
江智,复旦大学/上海数学中心教授;2010年博士毕业于巴黎七大,之后在德国波恩马普所访问,2011年9月成为巴黎十一大助理教授,2016年7月加盟复旦大学,并获得国家高层次青年人才项目。江智的研究领域是代数几何,特别是在Abel簇、Hodge理论、不规则簇的几何与分类的研究中取得了突出的成果,论文发表在J. Reine Angew. Math., Ann. Sci. École Norm. Sup., Compositio Math., Advances in Mathematics, Geometry and Topology, Math. Ann., Trans AMS等杂志。
